James Craig Cruises
  1. Smoking is prohibited anywhere on board any of our heritage vessels.
  2. Sharp-heeled shoes and/or stilettos are not permitted on board our heritage vessels and guests will be asked to remove them before boarding.
  3. Please note that our century-old vessels are not wheelchair accessible, and the toilets on James Craig are on a lower deck, only accessed by stairs.Β 
  4. Sydney Heritage Fleet accepts no responsibility for passengers’ property lost or damaged whilst on board. All passengers travel on board our vessels at their own risk.
  5. Cancellation by Sydney Heritage Fleet
    Our heritage vessels will sail/cruise in most weather conditions and tickets will not be refunded due to rain. If, in the opinion of the vessel Master on the day/night of the sail/cruise, the wind and/or sea state is deemed unsuitable for the welfare, safety and comfort of passengers, the sail/cruise may be cancelled. Upon Sydney Heritage Fleet's cancellation of the sail/cruise, you will be entitled to book another date. If you reside outside greater Sydney or overseas and cannot book an alternative date a full refund will be given.
  6. Cancellation by passengers
    1. A 25% administration fee will be charged if passengers cancel afterΒ booking confirmed.
    2. All passengers initiate cancellations must be made 14 business days prior to the cruise date to obtain a 75% refund or to book for future dates.
    3. No refunds will be issued if the cancellation is received less than 14 business days of the cruise date.
    4. Communication of any cancellation must be made by email toΒ info@shf.org.auΒ

    2. No refunds will be issued if the cancellation is received less than 7 business days of the cruise date. Β 

    3. Tickets are transferrable to another passenger at no extra cost if they are notified by email not less than 72 hours before the cruise date.

    4. Communication of any cancellation must be made by email toΒ info@shf.org.auΒ

Donations Refund Policy

Donations Refund Policy

Should an error be made in the amount of a tax deductible donation, the donor may notify the Sydney Maritime Museum (Sydney Heritage Fleet) that an error has occurred.

Please make any request for a refund in writing.

Please email toΒ info@shf.org.auΒ and outline the following details:

  • Amount of intended donation and amount receipted.
  • Date of donation
  • Correct amount of Donation
  • Full name of Donor
  • Receipt number
  • Nature of the error


Should an error be made by the Sydney Maritime Museum or its financial institution(s) in relation to an EFT or regular donation, a full refund will be made upon notification of the error. Costs will be borne by the Sydney Maritime Museum.

Further information on donations refunds:

  • Refunds cannot be made because you have changed your mind.
  • We ask that you make your choice to donate carefully.
  • We will refund if there was an error with the donation processing.
  • We will refund if the donor entered the wrong amount.
  • We will refund if the recurring donation did not cancel correctly when requested.
